Kunga

“Kunga” is the Kinyerwandan word for “to help, to serve, to reconcile.”

My renowned teacher, Kristin Cooper-Gulak, carefully chose this word as it represents the intention of the program.

To serve others as well as yourself creatively, dynamically and authentically living the practices of yoga both on and off the mat.

My duty as a Yoga Alliance Kunga Yoga certified teacher is to serve others and share the teachings, practices and lifestyle to others and donate at least 5% of all proceeds to charity.

For the past several years 5%+ of my proceeds have been going to support African children receive clean water, food, hygiene products and education.

I recommend checking out Compassion, as it's a great organization!

Words may show a man’s wit, but actions his meaning.
